RLA’s 20th anniversary celebration commemorates two decades of service and growth

In 2023, Rose Li & Associates is celebrating 20 years of moving science forward in service of humanity. To commemorate this milestone, RLA welcomed employees, partners, clients, families, and friends to an anniversary celebration at Smokey Glen Farm in Darnestown, MD. On a sunny June afternoon, attendees enjoyed games, barbecue, and a host of outdoor activities.

Event highlights included a spirited trivia competition that tested participants’ knowledge of science, pop culture, and RLA history alike. (Do you know RLA’s longest standing client relationship? See the answer below!) RLA also celebrated its legacy as a woman-owned small business with a predominantly female leadership team and staff through a charitable raffle in support of Dress for Success Washington, DC, an organization that helps empower unemployed and underemployed women to enter and succeed in the workforce. RLA employees donated their talents through raffle items including artwork, textiles, and curated gift baskets, raising $1,200 to help underserved women in the Washington, DC region achieve and maintain their career goals.

Addressing event attendees, founder, CEO, and President Rose Li, PhD, MBA, reflected on the experiences and achievements of 20 years spent supporting and communicating scientific research. She thanked both longtime clients and new—and remarked on the robust growth of the company in recent years. Since its launch in 2003, RLA’s workforce has grown from just one person to more than 50 employees. “It’s the talents of these individuals that got us here today,” Dr. Li affirmed. “We could not have done it without you.”

Special thanks to Ella Blue, Holly Riley, Lorene Eberhardt, and the event staff for organizing such a fun and memorable event.
